He actually seems like kind of a jerk and from what I heard, was pretty inconsistent this season. Jets are probably better off without him.

I dunno, funny that the Jets seem to have a problem with “guy doesn’t want to play for us anymore but don’t worry he’s actually a jerk” pretty consistently. At this rate I’d probably say there’s something going on with that team (even if every one of those guys is actually a jerk).

Kane, Buff, Lane, Scheifele… anyone else?

This guys a joke. Absolute cream puff who's lost his work ethic and has been a miserable leader. Now he has the stones to pull this #### in the press. Trade him for a bag of beans and count his cap space as a win.

Did Buff actually have an issue with the Jets? I thought he just didn't want to play anymore.

There was a dispute about surgery and other crap, but yeah his career was done. Lumping him in with Kane and Laine is ridiculous.

Certainly a shot at some players . Also seems like a shot to the coaching staff for not holding players accountable

Maybe it is my local media here, but he was painted as quite the jerk last playoffs after getting suspended after recklessly ending another player's season. The interviews he has given on the subject since seem to imply the same:

-Scheifele shocked by suspension length: 'Pretty excessive'
-"I thought I was going to be tried to be shut down by Phillip Danault," says Mark Scheifele. "Instead it was department of player safety that shut me down."

Exactly! Introducing trade possibility before the playoff not even started are beyond silly! And, if Scheifele is a jerk, I don't want him anywhere near the team I'm cheering for. Scheifele can go massage himself.

Scheifele seems like a dink.

That said, re-upping Chevy is a pretty clear sign of staying the course, which probably isnt a good feel for Jets players or fans.
