Get it done because Florida is going to be a tough bid for points.

They have a tough stretch coming up. Chicago has been better recently too.

A new year, and new adventures! For tonight's tilt, Our Hero takes us on another trip to Castle Frightenstein, where he's experimenting with some mad science:

Spoiler!

Aren’t both Chicago goalies in Covid protocol? In their game yesterday they went with Soderblom (who?) and Dalia.

The next three on this trip are Carolina, Florida and TB - possibly the three best teams in the league so getting a win today would certainly be nice.

If it wasn't for road games this team would have no games at all.

Yes...Last night the 'Hawks went with Colin Delia (the starter from the infamous Scott Foster game), he gave up 3 goals on the first 7 shots, and was yanked for a guy making his NHL debut, Arvid Soderblom, who coughed up 3 goals on 18 shots.

It was the first game in a couple of weeks for my guys, and, at times, despite dominating possession and chances, Saros was unbeatable. But the Defense continually left the goaltenders out to dry.

I have family out for the holiday, and am uncertain whether I'll be able to get to see the game tonight, or hang in the GT, but the NHL has been erratic in even holding these games, so the game even being played isn't a given. Good luck to your guys if the do play.

We'd better grab 2 points tonight while we can, because those two Florida games scare the hell out of me.

Any word on who Calgary will start in net? Need to know for fantasy hockey whether to start Markstrom or Gibson.

I'd be shocked if it wasn't Markstrom given the lengthy break and then 3 days between today and the Seattle game.

We don't even need a new arena. Maybe some kick ass streets for the parade...
