Even in a losing season Sutter is trying to teach mindset. He has come back from 3-0 down, so I don't question him in this space. It is practice and mental training that leads to being able to execute in those scenarios. I know it seems stupid...but I believe it's these details and leaning on these experiences that carry you in the playoffs.
He wants the players in a playoff mindset because that's how hard they have to play to even have a chance at making the dance...every damn night.

What are you talking about? This imaginary seven-game set with Montreal is something that was made up by fans on this board.

I thought Sutter has been saying to take things on a game-by-game basis.
Hartley was the one who split up everything in to mini playoff series.

Sutter also did this in 2003–04, but there has been no indication of anything similar this year.
