Considering these were easily ranked the top two teams in Canada heading into the season the schedule maker really dropped the ball by not putting this game on a Saturday night. Oh well, another 10pm Atlantic Time puck drop it is!

Go Flames!

Will Phillips make his league debut?
Either way, I’m stoked to watch fast aggressive hockey from the Flames again!

Anyone going to the game tonight, please be loud and try to drown out the 10,000 Leafs fans that will no doubt be there.

Not sure you tinker to much with a team on a 6 game heater.

Who would you sit?

Since yesterday was my birthday and Tuesday's score didn't match up, maybe this will be my birthday game.

4-1 Flames

Bigger question is who sits if Tkachuk is ready to come back? Rieder?

McDavid vs Matthews draws more viewers. Flames keep the streak going!

I'd vote Janko, position be damned. Let Dube try centre, maybe.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Backlund
Tkachuk-Lindholm-Mangiapane
Lucic-Ryan-Frolik
Rinaldo-Dube-Reider

It would never happen, but Backlund would be my vote. Just for 1 game as a reward for Phillips and a chance to build some hunger / desperation in Backlund.

That's bonkers. Backlund has been really good since moving to wing.

It's worse....I live in the Leafs "region" and only get the Leafs feed despite paying for Centre Ice. Leafs announcers know very little about anything outside of their Leaf bubble so it's infuriating.

Flames win 4-3 and keep it rolling.

Rinaldo/Frolik-Bennett-Reider/Frolik

You could start switching Rinaldo and Reider depending on opposition.

You could also put Bennett at RW with Ryan and Lucic, move Dube to 4C. It may also be that Dube will need a night off at some point. The NHL schedule is a lot different than he's been used to.
