I gotta say, outside of that top line and Talbot, the Oilers are really lacking depth... it'll be interesting to see if the McDavid line can score enough to make up for it.
Also, isn't Stone a RHD?

Not that we'll need it, but Jagr gives us a decent excuse should the worst happen. The mullet would have been great vs. Oilers as they would see him as one of their own and turnover the puck to him repeatedly.

I hope they watch some Anaheim game tape on how to contain McDavid. The defense have to really watch their pinches as they were exposed the first two games of the year. The Grease having home ice will be easier for them to match up against the 5/6 D pairing. Hopefully GG is putting the Backlund line out with them to help defend.

Your confidence probably stems from the fact that Smith has made the Oilers his bitch for the better part of the last decade. I would not consider that the least bit odd.
I am really excited for the game today, and am anticipating a big win. The Flames have something to prove while the Oilers rest on their laurels and await the Stanley Cup presentation in June.
