Realistically the Flames three players on the trade market are
Monahan
Zadorov
Dube

Not saying they should be traded but the hold value over others who could be traded.

Juuso probably on the list too

I guess those are largely the underperforming players. That may not be the same as players most likely to be moved.

Like Dino, I’d be very surprised if Zadorov gets traded.

Everytime I watch a game, I just see Zadorov doing weird things defensively on the ice. It hasn't been ended up in the back of our net often, but it's stressful to experience.

I think that Gudbranson is the player that Sutter is the most attached to, and with reason, as he has been really steady. I'm also thinking that Mackey impressed Sutter with the Gordie Howe hat trick during the only in-person game that Sutter went to during the San Jose trip.

For some reason, I have it in my mind that Mackey-Gudbranson would be Kylington-Tanev Lite.

The Flames shouldn't trade Zary or Pelletier unless there's an Eichel type coming back. They both have the potential to be cost controlled 2nd or 1st line forwards. Those are the kinds of players championship teams need. Pelletier especially.

Honestly, I think the Flames are keen on developing him. Killington is only proof that 24 is when most D men are ripe.

Dube however is a middle six winger/centre who brings lots of energy but doesn't rack up points, I think that he is a bit more of a known commodity. Valimaki could still become a top pairing guy.

Kravtsov
Laine
Toffoli

Monny
Tachuck
Valimaki

Tachuck for Laine would be a dream!
Who adds? They add a 5th rounder or a 3rd?

And what offensive shoot first type dmen are available?

Laine has barely played this season because of a combination of injury and personal issues. His play has improved, especially away from the puck, but Tkachuk remains a step ahead in terms of production and impact.

I think that Columbus sticks with Laine, due mostly to sunk cost.

He is also in a contract year, although not a 'one year then walk to UFA' situation.

I still like Kravtsov.

Monny as an underperforming player with a big cap hit next year is unlikely to be moved, or more accurately, unlikely to be taken.

Zadorov is terrible but Sutter seems to live with him, and as a big dman, always has some value.

Dube could easily be moved.

Monahan is the salary that would be the best for the Flames to dump.

Dube+Valimaki could be the pieces used to land another core piece locked up for a few years.

I think their main target would be a top 6 C/RW not sure exactly who those players would be but I don’t see Dube/Valimaki moved for rentals so I am not sure they go after Hertl, Kessel etc

Woof!!! To all the guys wanting Laine.
F that. What an entitled POS he is. Couldn't handle having Maurice or Tortz as a coach and now your expecting Sutter to waste more brain cells trying to figure this guy out and what his particular mental issue is.
Huge pass.
I'd be all over Toffoli. Yeah another King but Tyler knows Sutter and based on what I've seen him do he'd be a great add to our current roster.

I'm not saying it'll happen but I'd really like to see a heat player bust out and stay on the roster rather than Tre bringing in a rental.
The rental philosophy doesn't work all that well here and I cannot even think of the last time we had one make enough of an impact for it to be memorable.

It's hard to really figure out what Dube and Valimaki are worth in the trade market. They are very tradeable for sure, young and still with potential. No bad contracts.

But the trajectory for both players is rather unclear. I suspect the value placed on them would vary widely from team to team.
