Maybe it's just putting lipstick on a pig but the quick turnaround to jazz it up makes it look pretty legit. Most of it appears to be a workaround (paint, makeshift facilities around the hallways, tent for the visiting team, etc). I'm sure it took a lot of dough and quick planning to make that happen but it looks good for a season or two. Sure it's not full MLB quality, but it's really not that far off.

Just a complete mess from the umps. Villar is sitting on Gurriels leg at 2nd, the ump calls interference, Gurriel goes to 3rd, and hes somehow out!
Edit: Shulman explains that the rule was followed correctly.

Bo Bichette with the 3 run jack was a nice change of pace! Need Bo to inject some of his swagger into the rest of the line up.

Bass has been good this year, but Romano has been DOMINANT and he threw 9 ####ing pitches in the 8th, 3 up 3 down.
Bass is not Dennis ####ing Eckersley in his prime Montoyo, you don't HAVE to put him in you dumb ass.

Shulman is awesome, can call foul balls from the studio.

You also have Borucki on a full days rest. Seems like Borucki 8th and Romano 9th would be an effective order. Bass hasn't been terrible so I am not going to rip Montoyo too much but Romano is your biggest weapon in the pen right now, its obvious.

Yeah, Bass has been solid, but he's not a closer. He's 32 and has 11 career saves in a 10 year career, but most importantly he doesn't miss enough bats. But here comes Charlie F-ing Montoyo and suddenly he's Duane Ward lol.
Hopefully that's the end of that experiment, but it's Montoyo, so I doubt it.
