Needed the pen to shut if down in the bottom half.............nope. 9-5 now, that will probably do it for tonight. Too bad after getting out of the gate so quickly up 4-0.

So far these teams aren't even that great hitter wise. It does seem to be an early problem. Really not looking forward to when they face their division.

He's toast, but not much else to do but trot him out for an auto loss every 5 games.

Lots of questionable coaching decisions but these three are particularly odd:
1) starting Belt against a leftie
2) choosing Cimber to come in against Trout when instead of Pop or Bass
3) sending Bichette to steal second with Chapman up while down two
Schneider needs to be better than this.
My guess is they keep Berríos in the starting rotation but have Mitch White ready to come in early…essentially a piggy back situation. I don’t know what to say about Berríos. His fastball is ####. He had luck with his slurve but starting a guy whose most effective pitch is a slurve isn’t a recipe for success.

He's toast at the MLB level, no reason to sugar coat and suggest otherwise, imo.

Mitch White is also terrible. Berrios let's other teams maximize the damage on all the hits he gives up. Have to give him a couple more shots, but quick hook if he's in the 4th with guys on base.

I'd say maybe two hits were off bad pitches
