They wont do an actual review on policies about impartiality since he wasnt the only one who has done it, including people in and running the news division, so hes back Saturday and nothings changed

So just all in all a lesson on how to turn a minor event if a few idiots on twitter into an actual or disaster

Well, if they were to make the playoffs now - they’d be on a tear and trending towards LA Kings style chances when they made the playoffs as the 8th seed for their first Cup.

A five point lead with 11 games left is hardly what I would consider a collapse, especially not with a H2H left. If they blow a five point lead with three games left, sure, but if Man City caught them from here it wouldn't be that much of a collapse. Disappointing, of course, but collapse is a pretty strong word.

Well you’re just wrong. It would be a collapse and didn’t they have some massive lead at some point? Maybe it’s 5 points now, but it was more before.

Yeah, I wouldn’t call it a collapse either at this point. The team hit a difficult patch a month ago where it could have gone horribly. It began to look like Manchester United could catch them, but they dealt with it well and have won five in a row since.

City are accomplished at firing up the jets in the run in and Arsenal have a very hard schedule with dates at City and Anfield and home to a starting to look resurgent Chelsea. I think the five point lead and the strength of City make this a coin toss.

Losing a coin toss isn’t a collapse.

Also, if you told me at the start of the season, Arsenal would be in this position and providing so much entertainment, I’d never have believed you.

The life of a sports fan is a funny one. Arsenal are exactly what I thought the Flames would be and the Flames are closer to what I thought Arsenal would be this season.

In my life it was only 1989 when I could have it all. And it all came in the space of two days.

I guess it’s because of the games in hand and messed up schedule? I know that they had an eight point lead at one point and things were looking grim.

Sports can be weird for sure, and sometimes the margins between what seems like a catastrophe and winning it all are so small. Hockey in particular seems like a few bounces or things like that make an enormous impact at times.

All that said, it’s a collapse. You have a five point lead and control your destiny. If Spurs had to hear about “third in a two horse race” in a season in which they never lead (in fact, Arsenal did and they bottled it!), a five point lead is a collapse.

I don’t think it’s a coin toss though. It’s a pretty clear advantage because you need to drop points and City has to win. The league has a lot of parity and winning isn’t a foregone conclusion.
