So he got robbed because there can only be one center and they didn’t change it so that there could be two just for him?

lol

Heard that before

I don’t care what benefits the Oilers and it’s just an opinion.
All stars to me is all about the players not the team.

Anyway sound like I am hurting sensitive feelings so I am done

Mullen, Macinnis, Vernon in 1989.
Loob, Suter McCrimmon in 1988.
Massive achievement would be if they were in the finals now!

“Any time people even lightly disagree with me it’s because they’re sensitive and have hurt feelings.”

I dunno, the person with the sensitivity issue seems pretty obvious.

1st team all star is about the players, namely: a C, LW, RW, D, D, and G. You know, a starting lineup. You can argue McDavid was better than Matthews this season if you want, but saying they should change the format so McDavid can be on the 1st team instead of the 2nd is pretty dumb and is something you’d typically only find coming from an Oiler fan, which is why you got called one.

Oiler twitter literally complaining that Draisaitl was left off when they’ve billed him as a centre the whole time.

Should just be 3 forwards. Matthews, McDavid and Johnny. They don’t have LD vs RD

And Josi was robbed of the Noris
Meh. Fans put way too much stock into this kind of stuff. Maybe if they had a 1st team powerplay unit he could have been there as he's not the best 5 on 5 player in the league.

Came to look about if there is debate about Marner being selected over Tkachuk. Instantly see an entire page of Mcdavid crap. Can we not please.

Flames fans distaste for McDavid is greater than a distaste for Marner.

Is this really surprising?

I am surprised to see Marner as the RW, but I'm struggling to think of who may have been a better RW this season.

Tkachuk maybe? Does Patrick Kane play LW or RW?

Kane is usually RW. Ovechkin is both.

I enjoy the forum when people talk about things that are not their insecurities about the Oilers having the best player in the world

Just checked some stats to see who might have been a better choice than Marner this season, and came across an interesting stat. Ovi has averaged 50 goals per season. Averaged.

What a machine.

He had 50 goals this year and 90 points.

You said it’s all we talk about.

And you know what’s wearisome? Constantly referring to a player as “the best player in the world”. Only Oiler fans say that. Another mask comes off.

I mean, you can call me what you want if that makes you happy. I know who I cheer for. Sure I exaggerated when I said it is alllll that is talked about. But at least I can admit what I see when the Flames get dismantled by a guy who gets better every year who probably has not hit his prime yet and accepted that we will have to deal with it for the next 10+ years.

And only Oilers fan say it? No it is most of the people who watch the NHL outside if Calgary. I hate that they got that guy. It fricking sucks.

Others might say it if they are asked who the best player is. But only oiler fans randomly say “the best player in the NHL/planet” instead of actually just saying the name.

No one said that instead of “Crosby” or “Gretzky” or “Mario” or (for a brief moment) “Iginla”. It’s dumb and incredibly shallow.

There are a lot of great fans from other teams here, and getting outside perspectives are part of what CP a fun place to come and talk about hockey.

Flamesfan05, I would suggest just changing your avatar to an Oil logo, and owning it. I know that you get some enjoyment out of trolling here, but really you post enough that it would probably be more fun for you to just post honestly from an Oil perspective.

Yeah, you will get some static, because there is a pretty big rivalry and this is a big board, but in the long run you will have a lot more fun on CP. Certain threads you will get destroyed, and I would stay out of.

Karl, Blaster, Foss, DrZaius (not even sure on this one), Panther, even Oil Stain... all great posters. And I know I'm missing a bunch.

Just my 2 cents.
