I guess the things that really bugged me were:
  • the comparable for Hodgson
  • they had Petrov ranked 6th?!?
  • While Boedker has a great shot, in the OHL he was a pass first player, something that I think he continues to carry somewhat into the NHL. Also no mention of him playing the point on the PP.
  • Drew Doughty somehow doesn't make their best skater list
  • Beach doesn't play for Calgary as detailed in his paragraph
These may seem like small details, but if I have to pay $50 dollars for something like this then some of they could be a little better.

They actually had Petrov ranked 8th, and considering Central Scouting had him ranked 2nd among Euros (ahead of Boedker) it doesn't seem so outlandish. Obviously Petrov dropped to the 3rd round, but the reason for that I think has less to do with his abilities (which CSS and RLR attempt to gauge) and more to do with concerns that he might not make the jump across the pond.
EDIT: Whoops, made a mistake Boedker appeared on the NA skater list so that wrecks my argument a bit, but Petrov was still ranked ahead of Tedenby!

Bob Boughner with some comments on Nemisz:

Quote:
"Greg's doing great. He's first off the bench to kill penalties," said Boughner. "He's just starting to really figure out how he has to play to get to the next level. He's getting bigger and stronger.

"What's on the horizon is that the (Flames) are going to get an all-around hockey player."

Count me in with the group that hasn't been impressed with Nemisz in the Memorial Cup (brutal giveaway tonight). He's looked much better when I've seen him in the OHL so fatigue may be a factor... last year Windsor was knocked out in the 1st round so this is a ton more games than he's played before.

Did you see the game against Kelowna on Tuesday night? He was just a beast in that game, best game I have ever seen him play?

I missed that game save for the last minute or so.... if he played very well in the game then its a bit of a relief as he hasn't looked good in the games against the Q teams.

He had a really tough 1st period tonight. Really bad giveaway as was mentioned by PeteMoss and was on the ice for 2 of the 3 goals against. Got better though as the game went along and had a very strong 3rd period. Ended up with a goal and an assist in the third.

I've watched the whole tournament and Nemisz has been alright. Nothing great, but really nothing bad from him either(minus the first period tonight). He's still managed to put up a point a game and I'm sure people who have seen him more regularly would say he hasn't played his best. The kid is still a couple years away and for the most part I like what I see.

Nemisz looks like a really good prospect! At 18 years of age he is huge, has very good hands and is already good in his own end. Skating needs to improve but for a big guy he moves pretty good.
