Taro Daniel pulls it out saving two match points and wins it in a third set tie-break.
Edit: Shapo vs. Fritz is coming up shortly.

Denis showing some fight, but still down a break as Fritz is serving for the match at 5-4 in set 2.
Edit: Fritz takes it 6-4 6-4.

It's tough to watch Denis these days, it looked like he was getting his game back in late 2022, but the old habits have come roaring back.

The solution is to yell at Polansky more, obviously

It's starting to look like he may have a bit of a free fall this year and fall out of the top 50 the way he's been playing. On the flip side I never thought I would see Fritz in the top 5. He's a good player but he's kind of like Ruud in that there's nothing really great about his game and I can't see him ever winning a grand slam with his toolset.

By the way, it should be noted that in Medvedev's straight sets win over Coric, he won the last 21 points of the match.

Rublev gets his first ever win over Zverev (had lost the previous five matches to the German) and awaits the winner of Djokovic vs. Medvedev in the Dubai final.

This makes no sense to me... I didn't watch the match, but does that mean that it was 2-0 Coric, and Medvedev won a game to make it 2-1 for his first of 21 straight points, and then won 5 straight games at love? Because I can't figure out another way to make the math work but that's absolutely obscene.

That's correct CHL - Meddy was serving at 0-2 and 40-30 when he started his 21 straight point streak.

Meanwhile, Medvedev is up a double break on Djokovic - It was 2-2 and then Meddy won three straight games in the blink of an eye.
Edit: Djokovic got one of the breaks back, but Medvedev does close out the first set 6-4

Medvedev breaks to start set 2 - Novak is facing a mirror image of himself at the other end of the court except the image is playing better.

He's playing well, but Novak is helping him with some very uncharacteristic unforced errors.
