I actually think Kitchener would be a perfect place if not Etobicoke (where Woodbine entertainment was rumored to be building a facility that could host the team). Kitchener is big enough, and would have an instant rivalry with Forge. Don't know about the stadium situation there though.

glad to see the Cavs only need 79 minutes to comply with the U21 rules.
When they take care of business they can lump it all in one game.

In less positive news, the rumors are swirling that Valor is going to fold.

I think some people (not you IronMaiden) are desperate to get some bad news out there because there hasn't been any for a while. We all know bad news gets the attention over good news.
I've been saying it for a while, but Valour remind me a lot of FC Edmonton. They are an poorly run club on and off the pitch. They made thinly veiled threats about attendance needing to improve in the offseason, and have quietly cut back on expenses. Apparently their stadium loans were forgiven by the Manitoba government so now they no longer have the business case for the club existing to begin with and are desperate to sell.
It sucks because their supporters are the most welcoming in the league. They deserve better.

I am not worried about the longevity of Cavalry. Not that I think the CPL is in trouble, but even without it Cavalry are going to exist.
I do think that Valor proves the CFL stadium model isn't always going to work.

I believe in the Jays.

A dedicated stadium really is a necessity. I think if we were playing at McMahon we’d be struggling to get people out as well. The value in this product really is all about fun game-day experiences.

If we were playing there, I don't think that I would've bought tickets in the first place. I just can't see how ~5000 people in a 30,000 seat stadium is enjoyable at all.

Every time I leave ATCO Field, walking back on the west side, I turn and admire at how gorgeous our home grounds are (and make sure to mention this to my guests or friends too). Our grass is pristine, and our stadium legit looks like a historic, intimate, European pitch. As a footy fan, it makes you WANT to be there. McMahon Stadium would have the complete opposite effect IMO.
The only CFL stadiums that work for professional soccer are BMO Field, and BC Place - and both have supporters sections directly behind the nets, which is a huge part of the gameday experience for the impacts of supporters groups.

I know it took a big step backwards, but sure would be nice to see Saskatoon get a team. They're hurting for a pro sports team, have shown excellent community support for local soccer, and would probably feed on a natural prairie rivalry with the Cavs just like the Riders/Stamps (and more so with Valor out the door).
I think it should be expected that the first 5-10 years of the league would show where the strong and weak points are, and hopefully adjust accordingly.

Do they retroactively present this to previous winners?

Just realized the playoff games are included in the season ticket package so they'll be free which is awesome.

It's allegedly coming. I think they were supposed to send it, and then they said something about a gameday pick-up at some point. I don't buy tickets based on this, but honestly it's pretty poor to be at the end of the season and nothing has happened.

In year's past I've received free scarves with my season tickets. I wouldn't mind another Cavs lid this time, I've already got four and love all of 'em! Side opinion - the Cavs' merch designers are fire; their stuff is really fashionable, so much nicer and wearable (re: wearable in day-to-day public) than other sports teams like the Flames or Stamps.

I have a Cavs hat and I like it (kind of black camo with black embroidery), but the fit seems a little weird. Maybe I just need to wear it more and get it more broken-in, but with the fit seeming a little weird it makes me less likely to grab that.

1-0 Cavalry at half time. Bevan and Camargo get behind the backline and a slow pass from Bevan to Camargo does it. Cavalry don't particularly look good but York don't look threatening at all.
You can literally count the people in the York supporters section on your hands....
