Ronni looks to be centreing the 4th line for Tappara. Played 12:22 today, 2 shots, and 2/8 in faceoffs tonight against HPK.
Tappara also played 1 game against HC Davos in the Champions Hockey League. Ronni was originally credited with an assist but it's since been taken away.
Finished the game +1

Interesting observation:
Stromgren's is averaging 18 minutes of ice time in the last 3 games; in the previous games he was usually around 10 minutes with a couple 13-minute games. I do not watch SHL, but I imagine there is either significant injuries or he is playing better, just not getting the points.

TSN 2 is broadcasting Tappara vs Rogle BK right now. Tapparra is in the quarter-finals of the Champions Hockey League which is an annual 32-team tournament from different European leagues.
Last year Rogle BK beat Tappara in the finals.

Zavgorodny is leading his KHL team HK Sochi in goals with 10 in 31 games. He has 5 in his last 10 games.
Sochi is by far the worst club in the league with 16 points, the next worst club has 32 points. Sochi has 3 regulation wins in 38 games yikes.
Pretty impressive that Zav is leading that team in goals, I wonder if he will get picked up by a better KHL team next season.
He looked good in junior but was not able to translate his game to AHL, although he did not get the best deployments (I think he played on the 4th line mostly?) and was scratched a lot. He turned 22 just 4 months ago, so I think it is still worth tracking his progress, you never know

The Champions Hockey League tournament quarterfinals resume today with Tappara Tampere vs Rögle Ängelholm playing their return game. In the CHL playoffs, each team plays a game at home. Whoever has the most goals after the 2 games advances.
So Tappara has to win by 2 goals to advance.
TSN 2 is broadcasting the game at 11:30 eastern time. Look out for Topi Rönni wearing #31

Stromgren is up to 27gp/3g/4a/7pts,-3, 6 PIM for Brynas of the SHL. For players 20 and under, he is 17th in pts/gp with .26, ahead of names like Lucas Forsell, Liam Dower Nilsson, Linus Sjodin, Theodor Niederbach, and Victor Stjernborg. He finished with 1 point in 7 WJC games.
Ronni is 11gp/1g/1a/2pts,even, 2 PIM for Tappara (the men's league), and has 3gp/1g/5a/6pts,+8, 4 PIM in the U20 league. No points for him in 5 WJC games.

I watched Ronni play in the CHL semi finals and he looked good. Plenty of shifts, always around the puck, made some nice passes and plays to the outside to get round the D. Not flashy but strikes me as going to be a good player when he goes over to the AHL.
