Be interesting to see who gets those seats for 2024.

We expect Yuki Tsunoda to be confirmed for 2024 this week at Suzuka. Ricciardo announcement will follow later. Mick Schumacher is not an option for Williams. He's looking for a double job - WEC driver at Alpine & F1 reserve at Mercedes.

Was it just me or did he look exhausted more than any of the other drivers last night? These drivers are all in fantastic shape, but it must be something totally different once you actually drive a car for the first few times.

From what I understand the Singapore race is by far the most taxing of the bunch. It's a race where first time drivers have no idea what's about to hit them until it hits them. The humidity, a street circuit, and night time plus the off time zone messes with the drivers like no other grand prix. I thought I heard something on the broadcast about this bring a race where rookie drivers don't get any points and nor being a race where a driver gets his first ever F1 points.

I heard Crofty say that during the broadcast. I guess I was just surprised to see it in someone. He looked completely wiped out.

Having walked around Singapore, even at night it wiped me out from the humidity. Racing, these guys must lose buckets of water.

Results for Singapore! Damnit...I didnt think Ver was going to win. So much so I even won a bit of money There are some rather fun bets on F1 (who goes out first, SC changes, VSC chances, etc.).
Congrats this week go to Fuzz and Furnace, both got 1 slotted and 7/10. Three way tie for second. With Ver not winning it really changed the results, which is nice!
No change at the top as DoubleK maintains his 14pt lead over bizaro86.
Mcree and FurnaceFace this was your second miss each...woob, unfortunately its your 3rd. But if there was ever a week to miss this was it.
Next up is Suzuka...can RBR bounce back?? Hope not...I want those juicy Ham/Rus odds!!

Gotta keep that sweet sweet Japanese money flowing. Lawson is by far the better driver already and deserves a seat. I can't see Sargeant coming back, so maybe Williams which is arguably a better spot for him anyways.

I was at the race and filmed Russell's crash on my phone. Pretty fun night.
Saw Sainz in the club afterwards, he didn't look wiped at all My gf took video of him and his girl and posted on her IG story. When we woke up a few hours later it had already gone viral as a bunch of random people ripped it off and monetized it on their TikToks.

You'd be correct (at least the last 2 years)...126 total vs 128 in Bahrain Race 1 last year. Did have 2 guys get zeroes at Singapore for missed picks, so Bahrain is probably worse simply due to the new regs and no one expecting such RBR dominance.

JFC...wtf? I hadn't heard about that. I'm just...wow...
Danica was on a practice session earlier this year and asked Karun (or whoever) "can you adjust the brake bias on these cars?". Which in itself should have been disqualifying.

Heads up that Japanese GP qualifying starts right at midnight in Calgary...so no grace period this week. Get the picks in early

I think 17 wins would reasonably be the greatest F1 season ever, so even though I think he wins the championship it isn't obvious to me that'll happen. If Ferrari can finish races and have reasonable pit stop strategy they should win a few, Alonso looks like he might grab one or two, and you'd think Mercedes should grab a couple.
|
With the cancelled race, he only needs 16/22 to break the record for highest % of races won in a single season. That's 4 of the last 7.

My wife and I were there too! We actually met Carlos (and Charles) at an event on Thursday night. I’m 99% sure my “good luck on Sunday” comment to him was his inspiration for his victory.
