I'd support a rotating mural / graphic art area near a major entrance where they rotate through a different flames player or coach/employee (current and past) and describe their highlights. With about 40 years in the books now, it's time to let young and old fans learn about / bask in the history. Ideally this area is open to the public so they can check it out anytime rather than just at game time.

When I lived in Calgary, I was sent to Harley Hotchkiss office to fix a phone. If you could have seen the boardroom this guy had.....12 chairs in total, from the old barns across the NHL. all around a really cool boardroom table.
Probably one of the coolest hockey things I have ever seen.

I’m moving the team to Brisbane. There is an ice rink like 7km from my place they can play at. I might keep the Wild and Coyotes games in Calgary. Flaming C to be replaced with flaming pineapple. Deal with it.

I've had this conversation with Vlad many times.
First thing I'd do is appoint him GM and then things would change!
No more Country Club atmosphere, I'd be pushing the boundaries of Contract Law with daily requirements to be met and serious age limitations on longer term contracts.
I'd run the place like a Siberian Labour camp!

It would be a bad time to buy the team, paying all those player salaries with no return.

Come on I have a competent scouting staff, once we found out he was dead, we stroked him off the list.

Scour every beer league and sign players at rock bottom prices
I'd find a the best amateur coach who is working at a tire shop and convince him to come and manage the Flames for a year
I'd sign the best player in the Canadian penal system
I'd sign a retread goaltender who is playing in the Mexican league
I'd replace the state of the art workout equipment and rehabilitation equipment with piles of bricks and buckets
No more team air charters, these players have it too good, I'd hire a team bus for all road trips driving by a stoner named Rusty.

You know how the team would have to respond to that? Win the whole damn thing!

At the rate that people want to retire numbers,I would just retire all of them from 0 to 99 so nobody gets their feelings hurt, that after all, is the most important thing in the world...

i would install some type of hotline in my office that was sponsored by a local business and once you hit 2,000 posts on CP, you were given the phone number and you would be able to talk to me directly
and i would install a horn on the zamboni's that played "la kookaracha" (sp?)
i would then go to city hall and note that despite being one of the wealthiest guys in canada, that i still need a lot of a government help for a new rink to allow me to make more money

I still rock my Regehr sweater to games
