So the draw is monday, I'm sure someone will have one of those tables on twitter or reddit of what the percentages of who can draw who, but here are each side
Remember r16 cant draw from same group or same country, after that it's a free for all
Gonna be some monster matches, first time in cl that every club is from one of the top 5 leagues
No real big outliers like normal, I feel like I'm the last few years weve had a few where teams were close to 40% to match up
Would love to see city vs Madrid, Barca v chelsea have great history, dortmund v liverpool would be fun, spurs juve rematch from 2 years ago, napoli vs leipzeg wojld be really fun
Isn't there an equal 1/5 chance of Liverpool playing their possible teams?
I think you have to factor in the possibilities for those 5 teams. If one of those teams only had three options, they are more likely to draw Liverpool then a team with 6 possibilities.

He played really well today, both offensively and defensively. Should have a goal, but hit the post and was both making some nice runs as well as some nice balls forward. That $20m they paid for him looks like an absolute steal.

Yep, because for example liverpool cant draw napoli, spurs, or chelsea. Every other team has similar things, so it depends on who cant draw who and then changes the odds a bit
The times where it's a big factor are if say, city also finished 2nd and then essentially the atalanta spot is out. Meaning liverpool can only draw 3 teams, which then lowers the chances of barca or psg drawing those 3 teams, and raises the chances of them drawing an english team

It's really hard to fathom that at some place and time a group of people sat around a table and had some sort of agreed on thought process where they thought this would be a good idea and approved it?
