My video file sharing is non-existent these days with how cheap and easy it is to watch just about any movie or tv show I want legitimately.

At first when I heard about their file sharing laws I was choked, but after I while I realized that this government is probably the least techy group of people out there and they don't tend to crack down on tech trends until they've already jumped the shark.

I'm surprised they didn't specifically ban Napster they're so out of touch.

Nothing earth shattering, but any focus given to Netflix Canada by a large distributor can only be good news:

Also coming to Netflix as part of the agreement is the hilariously debauched, The Hangover Part II; Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises with Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway; and the comedy, Horrible Bosses with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman, as well as numerous other Warner Bros. titles that will be exclusively available online on Netflix Canada for a limited period following their pay television window.

No if only they could give me my viewing history back. It's rather annoying when I've been powering through X-Files episodes to have to constantly switch from season 1. They've lost all my viewing history.

It's removed from the home page but you can still access it. If you go to your account settings and "instant viewing activity" it should be there.

did a google search on this and only thing I can find is people asking how to intentionally delete viewing history- probably husbands or little kids that watched a steamy movie

Anyways, hitman88 is right- you can find full viewing history in settings.

How I Met Your Mother (The early seasons aren't that bad....)

Chronicle (one of my favorite movies of 2012)

And a ton of other new additions. Also it sounds like January 1st, as mentioned above, will also bring a ton of new content as well.

Seems to have all the new additions from today. Some very strong additions, mixed in with a lot of crap that should never be watched. I'm looking at you Mr. Woodcock

Well, Canadian Netflix isn't too bad, but the Netflix gui on devices like Apple TV, PS3, smart TV is downright pathetic. I wish they could just provide the same, or similar, menu to the web based version. Obviously there are limitations on what you can design on a TV interface because of scrolling and typing, but still.

I signed-up a couple months ago and I find the selection pretty lacking. I thought it would be an alternative to pirating, but it doesn't seem to provide that sort of thing with no new releases (not even in a PPV format), and in many cases not even slightly older but popular releases. Dang. I mainly watch the wildlife specials. I also wish they had better quality video for their stuff. Even with the bitrate jacked up in the options it still tends to be pixelated in a lot of cases.
