I wanted to like Black Panther 2, but just couldn't. Namor was...neat? and the story of the Mayan-version of the wakandans (did they even have a name? The Talocans?) had promise. But the movie was just really bad, or If I'm being more forgiving, poorly executed
The movie felt way too long, poor pacing, uninspired and uninteresting characters on every level. I honestly wasn't expecting to be THAT disappointed.

So it's on par with basically the rest of Phase snore.. err Phase 4?

I'm really hoping the lack of enthusiasm pushes the MCU to create a better product. They responded pretty well after the post iron man 2 criticisms.
I was also pretty bored with BP2. Too long and too much back end forth. I think what they were going for was a comparison of wakanda and Atlantis, but they overdid it and never properly established the sympathy for Namor's position.

Pretty much. There were a few highlights, but not many.
Spiderman was enjoyable. I recall enjoying Hawkeye quite a bit, Doctor Strange was decent, and Wandavision was at least novel (but zero rewatchability). That's about it, though, save for a few bright spots here and there.
I'm not sure if its more that the quality has dropped considerably, or that Marvel's pumping content out way too fast, or it's me. Or a combo.
One thing for sure, there's no time to build any anticipation or excitement over the next project, so even if the quality shoots up I suspect my feelings would be similar.

I felt that it really needed to be 2 movies: "The Death of the Black Panther" and "Attack on Wakanda"...or something like that.

Yeah I'm not sure what the property fix was. There was definitely something off about the pacing though. Maybe it could have shorter and punchier? Maybe it was cramming two separate ideas into one film? It felt like a lot of unnecessary jumping around, which took from the mood.
Namor, like Aquaman, is a difficult character to recreate in live action. The swim trunks are just hard to pull off? Interacting with fish always comes across cheesey?
Sounds like a reboot, with a young superman. The major issue with the is we already got such a great version of that with Reeve. Hard to top the original Superman, and seeing him meet Lois again doesn't sound very exciting.
