Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) was booed on James Cordon's last night show Tuesday. I'm sure it was in good fun and that's how he took it (mostly). That one was one of Corden's best ever. Lady Ga Ga performed with the show band and was awesome.
So...thoughts on this episode? I think it sucked big time. Very slow and boring and King Ezekiel and his Tiger is even more lame then I originally thought.

I liked it. I don't mind some story telling in between the crazy violent episodes. I get people will usually hate these episodes that don't feature crazy action but I like them. They give good setup and make you care about the characters a bit more. Besides next week looks like it is back to sadistic pleasure with Negan trying to break people. I'll take the break.
I am not sure about that. I think they are setting up slow to have all the colonies that pay tribute to the saviours start to realize they are a strong united force. Again just speculation, it seems like this group will be a factor at some point in the inevitable battle with Negan.
I will say what drives me nuts a bit is thee repetitive sanctuary story arcs. First the farm, then the governor and his town, then the prison, then Alexandra, now the kingdom. I just hope this isn't a half season of "oh wow paradise we can live here forever, then bam it is destroyed" that is getting super repetitive.
I almost wish the group would fight into DC and run into any reminants of the millitary. That sounds kind of fallout-ish but I just hope this isn't another bad guy sanctuary rinse repeat.

Really? The guy is feeding walkers to pigs and giving it to the Saviours presumably to eat. He obviously hates them alot to go to those lengths. We know that The Hilltop hates them too, but their leader seems too passive to do anything. It is likely that what happened to Glenn and Abraham also probably happened to people from The Hilltop and The Kingdom as well, so their hate for Negan and the Saviours may match that of those from Alexandria.

This is story-telling, its giving us input from the other side. People who are used to dealing with the Saviours but have taken a different tack. Carol and Morgan are operating on a whole different timeline.
I thought it was cool actually. You immediately knew that Ezekiel was full of it, so why does it work?
Because he worked at the Zoo between acting gigs and had a rapport with a tiger when the zombie apocalypse hit? Thats brilliant!

Man does AMC ever milk TWD for advertising revenue. I assume PVR's have not dominated the US seeing that advertisers continue to pay for commercials that a portion of the audience is never watching them. I always watch shows about 30 minutes late so we can skip all the ads. I do it a lot with football as well. I imagine this will eventually lead to the end of commercials once PVR's are in every household.
I was kinda half watching while doing other stuff. What was up with Morgan and the mailbox?
When they were taking Carol to the Kingdom he was marking things (similar to Terminus) so he/they could find their way back. He marked the post then turned the flag up (meaning there is outgoing mail). Then when Carol decided to leave without leaving he took her to that house and turned the flag down. If there is a deeper meaning, other than someone lives here now, it's lost on me.

Slow episodes are not the strong point of this series but you know they are going to be stuffed into the season and not overly surprised a slow episode follows the season opener. The whole kingdom and king thing is kind of silly but I do feel like the actor did a good job making the king somewhat of an interesting character. I'm interested to see where they take him. My issue is that I simply don't like the Carol character at all. The writers have turned her into a pretzel of different characters/moods and the end result is this cynical, unlikeable woman. It's past time the show moved on from her character. Morgan is kind of jumping the shark as his internal conflict with killing to survive has been stretched so far that it's just boring.

I still like Morgan's character, but agree with you on Carol. Every time she tries to leave I'm just like "Good! Let her go!"
