Tython sounded a lot like Ahch-To as they explained it in terms of an abandoned Jedi temple.
Kind of made me think that it was going to be Luke, and The Child being brought there is how Luke discovers that lost Jedi Temple to start with.
Tython is a core world that was the site of the very first Jedi Temple, long before the formation of the Republic, it was also the sight of the first Jedi civil war.
It remained a spiritual world for the Jedi.
I really almost don't want Luke or Ezra involved here, their story lines are separate in my mind to this one.
I still in my mind think they're going to push off the training thing. We know there's a tracker on the ship. He's going to arrive on Tython to an ambush by those cyborg troopers, and the next two episodes will be gathering a team, and then failure to rescue in my minds eye.
Then next season will be the war between the Imperial Remnant with Gideon on one side and the Mando on the other and the child as the ultimate stakes.

But if Ezra does reach out to Gorgu, perhaps it will bring Sabine, Ahsoka, Ezra all together to face Thrawn in the new series?
I don't love it. They don't need a continuation of Rebels. It would be jarring, considering the change in tone. New characters, new storylines, please - interspersed with names and faces we know.

There's been rumours of a continuation of Rebels (Ahsoka and Sabine searching for Ezra and Thrawn) for some time.
I think that’s pretty close Cap. They’ve set the stage for a few things; the Empire doesn’t want Grogu dead, they want to harvest him. So him being with them doesn’t ultimately mean death but potentially an existent worse than death. A rescue is needed.
Beskar stops light sabers, enter Gideon dark saber duel.
I have a hard time believing we’ve seen the last of the Super Friends team, especially the Mandos who are actively working agains the Empire. A chance to go after Gideon is exactly what they want.
I hope we get an eleventh hour Ahsoka re appearance as well but I’m not sure we will. If the goal is to kill Gideon that fight is over in 0.00024 seconds. However if it’s to contrive information to locate Thrawn then maybe it’s more interesting as he needs to be alive, same as this previous episode.
Could we even see a situation where Ahsoka intervenes To keep him alive for his information?
Either way major hype for the last 3, they’ve done a great job dropping bread crumbs so far.

The ending of Rebels set up a continuation and most of us have been expecting one ever since. I don't see them turning The Mandalorian into that continuation of Rebels though.
There's probably a good chance it will be animated, but with them bringing in Dawson to play Ahsoka, I also wouldn't be surprised to see them go live-action with it.
Either way, I expect it to be a new series.

Otherwise her involvement seems just like an excuse to give nerds a reason to touch themselves.
Well the rumour (confirmed rumour?) is she has her own live action show in development with Sabine and potentially Bo-Katan.

I dont know if you could realistically hold on to Rosario Dawson for that long.
The rumour I've seen is that she signed a "multi-series" deal when she signed on to play Ahsoka and not just a single episode. It would make sense for one of those to be an Ahsoka-centric series.
Also, if you look at her IMDB page, she has done a lot of short-run tv series work in recent years. Other than the extra prosthetics and make-up required to play Ahsoka, it wouldn't be much different than that.

If there’s one thing this Series need is a smoking hot redhead
So, I’d like that Jedi waiting on the mountain to be Mara Jade
She was wiped out of existence in the great Disney purge. Instead of marrying a smoking hot, semi evil super assassin, he spent his life basically being a failed Jedi, and hermit writing his manifesto on an Island occupied by freaks.

Just some theories for the rest of the year. Put in spoilers because some people don't like my theories
Spoiler!
He's going to take Grogu to Tython. He's going to sit him on the rock and let him choose his destiny.
We see them waiting, and then we see an Imperial Fleet Jump into the system, and a assault craft with Tie Fighters land.
We see Moff Gideon accompanied by the cyber troopers. Moff tries to reason with Mando to hand over the child. Of course that kind offer is refused. We also see Fennec Shand.
A battle ensues and the Mando is quickly overwhelmed and knocked unconscious. When he wakes up, the fleet is gone as is the Child and his armor. His ship is gone as well (Fennec takes it).
The next episode is him just trying to survive on a hostile planet, (in EU Tython had the Flesh Eaters. They were thought to be former Jedi driven mad who had de-evolved). He finds a way to call for help to his friends. Eventually the help comes, and the last episode is him trying to build a team to find out where the Empire has taken the Child and rescue it.
We get scenes of blood being drawn.
The last scene of the year shows the team gathered and planning, Mando is wearing old crappy armor, maybe no helmet. Then we go to the imperial Lab and see one of the clone thingies in the vial open its eyes and they're yellow. (Palpatines new body)

A hairstylist from The Mandalorian seemingly revealed where the Magistrate is originally from in an Instagram posted that has since been edited.
The original post called Morgan Elsbeth "one of the last survivors of Dathomir," which is a well known planet from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as well as Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
We saw the night sisters exterminated by Dooku and Grievous in Clone Wars. It would also explain why she was able to keep up in the fight.
