This makes sense in principle. But I would also put forth that perhaps other teams handling the same ice better makes it actually a differentiator, or that Canada was playing so bad that an equalizer should've been to their benefit.

For the upcoming Ski Cross event Brady Leman will be in Heat 2 wearing the red bib. Kevin Drury will be in the 5th Heat wearing the red bib. David Duncan will wear the yellow bib in the 7th heat, and Christopher Del Bosco will be in the 8th and final heat wearing a yellow bib.

Basically no one on Rachel's team played well for most of the week, they were very weak strategically, and the rest of the world has gotten much better. So an off week like this would probably still get them to the medal round in 2010, but it doesn't anymore. At the very least, unlike women's hockey, there's actually some intrigue now to the event.

Give it a rest no ones perfect, the team is human and had their worst week in their careers. They didn't want it to go this way. They tried and the result sucks yes

Don't like them for their personalities sure but Don't hate them because they had a bad week, don't act so smug that we should be number one (as previously pointed out curling is getting more parity)
Huh?
Go back and read again, friend.
I said I'm entirely pleased with personal bests, particularly under the microscope of the Olympics.
And if that's an incredible gold medal performance like our ice dancers had last night or the 26th buddy got in the ski jumping - I'm absolutely good with both, if it's their best and they win or lose with class. I'm even good if you lack that class (Holman) but you better perform then. Johnny Mo is the perfect example. He is popular with no one but himself, but he performed. I can live with that.

It was a team effort and I think it’s fair to call that effort brutal across the board and Homan was a big part of that. She is a Canadian and World Champion and she’s made tougher shots than that and her competitors were also making tough shots.

It’s disappointing because the team beat themselves as much as their opponents beat them. She made what...60% of her shots today.

USA and Czech Republic tied at 2 heading into the 3rd period. Americans are fortunate that Slater scored a shorthanded goal about halfway through the 2nd as the Czechs were really controlling play up to that point.

Drury and Leman have both moved on to the Quarterfinals in Ski Cross so far!

4 skiers seems more reasonable then 6 snowboarders in a race last week.

I'm not sure why it's 4 in World Cup / Olympics and 6 in X Games (although it hasn't been in the X Games in the last 2 years).

I love watching this, but the amount of injuries is a little grim. Maybe it's not the best idea...

It took the death of a Canadian Ski Cross athlete in 2012 for them to smarten up and start making the courses wider and safer. The Olympic course they usually make HUGE and it's only the top 30 athletes in the word vs top 50-65 in World Cup races.

It seems like they narrowed up this course with a few of the gate placements which causes
Needless congestion.
