Even when the PP can keep possession it just doesn't look dangerous. Just a whole lot of passing around the perimeter, and nothing to the slot or on net.

Kulak with a good period, same with Kevin. I can't believe Kevin wasn't in the opening day starting lineup, he should never be scratched again. Hopefully these two are here for a long time to come.

Our 2 best lines are our 3rd and 4th line. Engelland Kulak looking good. I really like the engergy from the 4th line. Ferland seems destined to score. Cant believe how many good scoring chances he's had so far this season.

To be fair, its not "CP" but a segment within it.
That being said, there has been conspiracy theorists among fan bases in every single city since the inception of their team.

Feel like the flames are starting to get more comfortable with the "system". A lot more puck support in past years. Probably seems like they're not trying as much because they're more often in position so less scrambly.
It's not there yet but it's coming.

I wonder if this is a Gulutzan thing. The Flames are shooting from everywhere and aim to get players on the second or third opportunity more than score on the initial (typically low %) shot...a different philosophy it seems than the team under Hartley.

Thought Kevin looked OK but had a mental lapse not tying up Girgensons stick. Agree he should have been in the opening day lineup.

All I'm gonna say is Kelly Hrudy on HNIC flat out stated the refs were punishing the Flames last season. FLAT OUT declared it in exactly those terms.
Just sayin...
