So Pepe Le Pew is now banned and removed from all future Looney Toones, but South Park is still on prime time TV? Something isn’t right....
One is a satire directing laughter at the absurdity in the world. The other is a parody laughing with the characteristics of a sexual predator and outdated stereotype.

I was disappointed with last night's special. I love SP and what they have done. But even compared to the Pandemic Special the laughs were few and far between for me on this one.

I agree. Maybe my expectations were too high but I found that it was very disappointing. From storyline to jokes and the incorporation of QAnon it all just fell short.
Ok I thought it was maybe just me but ya, it wasn't great. It wasn't as good as the Pandemic Special for sure at least. There was one line near the beginning when they are waiting in line at the Pharmacy that had me laughing pretty good, but I'm not sure I laughed again for the rest of the episode..
I mean it wasn't bad. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it. But it definitely felt a notch below the regular South Park quality.

Not sure how I feel about them switching to a streaming movie type format. Although some of my favorite episodes are the multi-part ones (Coon and Friends, Go God Go, Imaginationland etc...), I generally prefer the single episodes that hit harder. Not sure if I can handle 90 minutes of South Park.
Call the police if you have a gun to your head forcing you to watch all of it.
So happy for this, love South Park and it just keeps getting better.

South Park has become everything I wish the Simpsons was. They’ve reinvented themselves and stayed relevant for more than two decades. Very impressive.
Also this quote lol:
Quote:
“Comedy Central has been our home for 25 years and we’re really happy that they’ve made a commitment to us for the next 75 years,” said Parker and Stone.

Parker and Stone know no bounds, and they just don't care. I remember seeing an interview with them years ago saying that they were basically just trying to push things until they got cancelled... but weren't getting cancelled... so they just kept pushing things..
In a world that is so watered down with PC 'woke' cancel culture BS, I am so happy to still have a few voices that say "Nah, it's a joke, deal with it."

It really is amazing they have become the platform for true free speech with no fear.
I guess with animated characters you can't be blackballed as an actor in the future- and as long as they have Comedy Centrals backing they are basically untouchable
The writing in the last few seasons was already thin. I'd rather see them put all their efforts in to 10 quality episodes, instead of cashing out and producing a greater volume of content.
Quite enjoyed the first post-Covid special. The time wasn't too bad either, at an hour long.
Despite what I was saying earlier (I was wrong), I think the erratic schedule has made the content better. Not being expected to come up with X episodes and just being able to write freely really fits where the show is at this point.
The writers can just come up with a story and take as long as they want to tell it.

The next one is out in a few days?
Where did you watch it? I keep seeing clips of it online, but I can't seem to find the entire episode online legally or otherwise.
