Now don't ask me about ES goals against....Differntial is like break even. Won't go far without a better goalie and more importantly, D zone coverage. This "keep them to the outside collapsing" thing they do brings on too many shots. Hate it.

They are 9th in even strength goals for and 27th in even strength goals against for a -2 differential. Flames are +15 at even strength, 8th in goals for and 4th in goals against.

In all 130 episodes of the Hilarious House of Frightenstein, the monster never once rose off the table. Never even twitched.

If Jack Eichel got up off the mad scientist's slab tomorrow, he would put the Golden Knights $5.8 million over the cap. That's with Pacioretty and Bischoff still on LTIR.

But Pacioretty is expected to return before Eichel, and they will have to clear $2.8 million of cap space just to activate him. Then they'll need another $10 million for Eichel later on.

The players on that payroll as presently constituted are never going to play together as a team. They will have to cut significant pieces before the trade deadline.
