One of my all time favs and one of the best I’ve had the pleasure to see live. Prime Iggy with this roster would be unreal and has me wishing for that dearly lol; here’s to a great career Iggy and us flames fans know for sure that you won it ALL!
At 1:37 Chris Simon comes hobbling into view and he is missing a skate - his left foot is bare. I don't remember this at all, does anyone recall what the story with that was?

He was getting some skate repairs when the goal was scored but just jumped on the ice to celebrate anyways. He bailed at one point too!

This league as it is today especially would struggle to handle prime iginla. The strength, the speed, the shot, the skill, the grit. Teams covet what guys like josh Anderson bring in today’s game - the current version of a power forward. The power forwards of today are nothing close to the level of power forward that iggy was. IMO the greatest power forward to ever play the game.
The greatest Flames player ever who I wish had a better supporting cast, especially at his peak. Also, the pride of St. Albert—even among the greasy fans up here!
Years ago, training camp often shifted to rinks around the city so fans could watch up close. I was at one and after the practice, the team was working out and the fans were hanging out waiting for autographs.
One little kid was there with his dad and he was exhausted and needed a nap. Every time his dad tried to get him to go, he would cry and call for Jarome. This went on for close to 10 minutes. His dad was getting frustrated but his son was determined.
The door into the players area opened up and Iggy came out and said, "Is there someone here to see me?" The little boy's eyes lit up and Iggy bent down and talked to him for a few minutes. Then he asked his dad to take him home for a nap.
An adorable sequence and the other fans waiting didn't intrude. Iggy went back into the players area, turned around and thanked us for standing back. He told us he would be back in a bit to talk to us.
That smile of his. Mad respect for a great player and awesome man.

I still remember the time I almost killed Iggy with the Forklift when I worked at the Warehouse of the Saddledome, this was the year they went on to have their amazing run in 04.
I was backing up from the truck unloading Kegs and out comes Iggy coming around the corner. the Team was practicing at the Corral at the time so i guess they walked there. Boy was he not pleased, safe to say I didn't get fired but he definitely gave me the stink eye everytime he saw me. Lol, never did get to get his autograph during the luncheons through he'd always leave right away after it was over.
