A good deal of the Eastern road games will be over with. Just the Florida and Carolina trip left.

It's a good thing the Flames have built a nice so far because that schedule looks absolutely brutal. I think a record of 3-3-1 or something around there would be an acceptable result.

Ooof, that’s a long road trip and a lot of games in not a lot of nights.
They’ve been a great road team so far, so hopefully they come out of that one, still in great position.

They’re going to get all kinds of bonding time lol.

Guess Vlader would play at least twice, in the back-to-backs, Maybe three?

Yeesh, that's a tough road trip. They just need to keep playing their game and I think they'll be fine. This is also the kind of trip that can really bring the team together as a tight unit.

My thoughts, exactly. This start has been so important because it sets them up really well as they head into games that will be more difficult. It is pretty amazing that by the time the Flames are heading into their 20th game of the season they will have played only six games at home.

I'd think twice is guaranteed, probably Montreal first then Boston to close out the trip. Then maybe the 3pm game against Ottawa would be my guess.

Tough timing of games, but I like the depth that we can rotate through our D and goalies. We aren't leaning overly hard on individual forwards for icetime, so I do believe we are in a good position to pass through these sequences. It's also still early in the season, and so far we have been lucky with few injuries.

Fun fact - when the Flames play the Islanders, it will be the Isles first home game this season, after starting the season with 13 on the road.

I see at least five wins there, and possibly a couple other points. I would have been a little more worried about this trip if they hadn't crushed the first one, and then come back and played a similar dominant game at home. I looked at the schedule at the start of the season and thought if they played like they did last season, and didn't have this huge change in style, they could have been buried by time they came back from this trip. Completely different outlook with the style they are playing.

I think it’s good. They’ll get into a nice rhythm. This is a very good road team, and especially good against Eastern Conference.

After game 19 in BOS, they will have already been to 12 of the 16 barns in the Eastern Conference.

The only eastern games that will remain are the 3 games in FLA and CAR (early Jan), and CBJ (late Jan).

After that, they don't go east in the last 3 months of the schedule.

Weird quirk: in March, they have 4 one-game road trips (MIN, COL, COL and VAN)

Atlanta Flames were the very 1st opponent in the Nassau County Coliseum in 1972. It was both clubs first ever games in franchise history. Flames won 3-2.

Calgary Flames are to be the 1st opponent in the new UBS arena.

Flames will win 3-2.

Right?

It's a long trip, seven games with 2 back to backs but days off between the other 3 games. It doesn't look that bad plus it's all mostly short trips so I think the Flames should do well on this roadtrip.

I get to go see the leafs and sens game on this trip. Haven't ever done both in one season, let alone one weekend. Found out after purchasing that the leafs game will feature a the Hall of Fame class (starring Iggy!) for the puck drop. Basically, I'm too excited to sleep at all this week.

Good for you, enjoy the hell out of it.

If there is time, the HHOF is well worth a couple hours of your day as well.

Wonder if Sutter will give Vladar his old team against the Bruins, or start him against a loud Islanders house? (First home game for them)

I'd also give him the Leafs instead of Montreal.
