Zad should be in Gudbranson’s spot and Kylington should be in Zad’s spot

Very interesting lines in practice. I guess Coleman is on the 4th line because of his suspension and because Tkachuk is not practicing.
Richardson, Lewis, Pitlick, Stone not practicing, I guess that’s most of the forward signings this off-season. Hope they get healthy for the start of the season.
As for Zadorov-Tanev, they have a week to try and build a good shut down pair for the start of the season, but time is ticking. The biggest disappointment is that it looks like it leaves Kylington on the outside looking in. Then again, the lines/pairings might change tomorrow.

Still don’t see any logic behind Zadorov with Tanev
You know what is an effective shut down pair? Tanev and insert name here so play him with someone who can pass

Tkachuk busy negotiating his brother’s contract. Couldn’t make it.

I wonder if Sutter will dress 7 D at times in the regular season, then double shift select top 6 forwards

Could see Gudbranson being the 7D in that situation. I believe he has played that role in the past too, with other teams.

If there is any time to try that it is with Coleman, Pitlick, and maybe Richardson out

That would give the team the best chance on my opinion. Hope it happens

Three way trade that sees both Tkachuk brothers end up in Buffalo, who signs them both to 5 year deals.

They are known for signing bad contracts and never winning so might be a really good spot for them

#Flames have assigned five players to AHL Stockton:
Byron Froese, Justin Kirkland, Walker Duehr, Connor Mackey, and Adam Werner.
As per Steinberg.
A little shocked at Duehr, the rest of them make sense.

I'm not shocked or even disappointed. Duehr's entire pro hockey experience is 5 games in Stockton plus one training camp in Calgary. I expect him to get a bit of seasoning in the AHL and be an early callup.
For a guy who's never played 50 games in one regular season, the pro schedule will take some getting used to. Better to do that in Stockton than here.

Duehr had a great camp but he doesn’t need waivers and hasn’t really played much pro hockey.
Gawdin was good as well and requires waivers, so he got that spot.
Reminds me of Jooris who went down to start the year after having a surprising camp.

Could still be a call up before opening night depending on the injuries.
