It looked to me that Mcdummy tried to cut in behind Tanev to avoid contact, got tangled up, and flew into the goalie. It's a reckless play.

Dmen are getting faster and faster every year, and one of these days the off side dman is going to anticipate this move, and take his head off. Tears will be shed, oiler fans will pull out their pitchforks, but at the end of the day it's Mcdavid putting himself into a vulnerable position that has already produced 2 serious injuries for him.

Too bad Hextall wasn't still around. It would also be pretty funny to watch a goalie abandon the save in favour of putting his shoulder into his face, because that's the last thing he's expecting when he's cutting like that.

Only an idiot would think he can cut to the net like that and no one is going to try to stop him.

Wasn't there sone other videos of Mcdavid doing the exact same thing and then whinning about it after. Seems like a play he does when his team needs a goal but plays the victim ..trip..then crashing into the goalie.

Was hoping we would see some new tactics tried given it was preseason. If the defender did a leaping clothesline, would likely be called charging but could be effective.

Flames should have Kylington (or someone fast) do the exact same play immediately after McDavid does each time. If he goes into the goalie, oh well.
