Well played, you made me google Cooper Marody, because I have never heard of him. I take it he was a fan favorite with EDM?

I don't think so. I thought Pettersen was even less impressive than Phillips in camp and he's stuck behind a bit of a logjam on the left side in Stockton.

Senyshyn is an interesting name, but only because of how big a bust he is. The Bruins passed on guys like Barzal, Connor, Boeser, Chabot, Eriksson-Ek, and Konecny (just to name a few) to take him, as well as Zboril and Debrusk. Bruins would be scary if their 3 first rounders from 2015 were 3 of these guys....

I always liked Brendan Guhle-big and fast, decent AHL numbers, but can't stick in the NHL.

Sean Day was supposed to be good, I remember really wanting the Flames to pick him.

He was one of very few players to be granted "Exceptional Player Status", and started his junior career at 15 years old. Only Tavares, Ekblad, and McDavid had previously been granted this status.

Day was never gonna be that good, despite getting exceptional status in the OHL there’s nothing exceptional about his game.

Just another player that the local media hype machine was pumping up the last few years, like how he choose not to sign with the Flyers so that he could sign with the oilers instead.

I agree. Entirely possible Pettersen never gets an NHL game and Phillips already has that. With some of our first rounders arriving now, those guys are further from the NHL than a year ago.

It’s not like a spot on the club is reserved for a small forward.

Close to pushing mavi off the top line and power play time. According to staples and spector, was part of the 600 and 1300 club.

Isn't Mavi a line of jeans or something? Edmonton is such a complicated place.

Senyshyn was a crazy pick to begin with and bound to bust at 15th overall, there were 2 better options on that stacked Soo team and they were taken in later rounds, Zack could skate but couldn't take a pass or hold onto the puck better than most CP'ers.

I remember how strange it was cause Boston made all these moves to get 3 first round picks in a row and they ended up going off the board with every pick. I remember everyone thinking they would get Barzal and Connor with at least two of those picks.

Ironically, he didn't make up a good pairing.

Have to say that both Phillips and Pelletier have to be two of the bigger dissapointments in camp.

Don't really think either guy had a real shot to make the team, but they should have been pushing to at least make it a decision that needed to be made.

Similar to what Duehr has done in camp and has really pushed for a spot.

One of the idiot fanboy media in Edmonton was claiming that there is NO WAY Cooper Marody doesn't get claimed. Of course, cause he is just the best prospect EVER!!!! God they are so bleeping annoying!!!

I could see Phillips carving out an AHL career for himself.
