Expect to see more Flamesnation members here. The content is really good, but the platform their using is.. Gudbad..
We appreciate you lending us Scorpion and Flashalytics.
Both great writers.

I read here often and seldom comment. But I love your forum.
Getting used to the comment section is different, I don’t know how you are all able to navigate so easily. Maybe I’m too slow, like Gudbad slow.

I think perhaps it's less about Zadorov and the combo of Zadorov and Gudbransson being on the same team.

Treliving put too much pepper on the dish, when it just needed one crank.

I will credit Zadorov that he was at least being physical as knocked a few players down with his hits. Gudbransson I expected more physically, it might have been because it is pre-seaon and he is a vet, but he didn't show well. Especially in a BoA game and you want to get the fan base behind you, do something.

I did notice Gudbranson yelling at younger players about positioning, during face offs etc. This may be where he helps. Its less of a silver lining and more of a matte grey but you get the idea.

I don't think I'll ever understand that signing.

Zadorov I like, we've had Stone..... wtf do we want Gudbransson for?

They almost certainly will - it's a younger group.

It shouldn't be surprising to anyone that young players look better than the older vets, during the first half of camp

I mean, is it safe to say that Sutter is a smart hockey guy?

Or does he have some sort of tunnel vision? He must be familiar with Gundbradson, and how below average he is. I thought he vaguely alluded to working with him to fit into what they're trying to do on defense. As in acknowledging that he hasn't been good but thinks he can be molded into something useful.

Though if you're that slow, you'd better have damn good positioning.

Until I see evidence to the contrary, I'm going with my Kevin Dahl theory:

I was only able to watch part of the game against the Oilers, and that on my laptop, so I didn't have good enough sound to pick out Gudbranson yelling at other players on the ice about positioning. If he was doing that, at least it was one useful thing. Apart from that, he looked like a typical vet with six inches of summer rust all over his body. (Bet you thought he was wearing a red jersey!)

I don't like the signing at all, but I am not prepared to cast aspersions at Sutter about it, because (a) he has, in fact, proved over and over again what a smart hockey guy he is, and (b) he did not, in fact, sign this player or any others.

Apparently there was enough of a market for Gudbranson to drive his price up close to $2 million. I don't know why, honestly. But that's the lowest cap hit he has commanded since his ELC, and teams keep wanting to acquire the guy. I am humble enough to wait and see if there is any adequate reason for this.

He’s actually quite fast as well watching the practice highlights. Was surprised at that.

I share your concern on Gudbranson. Would much rather see Stone at number 6.

Cuz we gonna beat you, or we gonna beat you.

You ain’t playin’ the Calgary Flames and come away unbeaten.

Believe that.

Hoping Phillips/Ruzicka have a good night. Might be interesting if they split up Mangiapane and Dube to balance the lines a little but at the same time, maybe it's good to see those two together.
