Default The CPHL is looking for you!!
The CPHL (CalgaryPuck Hockey League) is looking to fill some teams with GMs who LOVE hockey and think they really know the game better than Brad Treliving or Lou Lamoriello! Now is the time to prove it!

The league is very active with some very smart, and some not so very smart, Fantasy League GMs, and has been active for over 19 years.
If you feel you can commit some time to the league by chatting about trades with other GMs, and posting on the CPHL Message Board, then we may be just the time waster you have been looking for during your time at home, bored in Isolation! We are the perfect boredom cure! You can even drink while playing, in fact we recommend you drink while playing!



WARNING...the game is extremely addictive!

We do have a few teams that are changing over..and are currently looking for GMs to fill these roles right now!!

Which teams are we looking to fill rn? Is it just Colorado?

I'd love to see us expand to 31 or 32 at some point in the near future. I'm the NYI GM and have been for five years now... such a great fun game that's become very near to my heart.

How does it work?

Just took a quick look at the site and don't understand the playing ratings (i.e. how are guys like Jaccob Trouba, Sami Vatanen and Ryan Getzlaf ranked so high?) or how the team records are recorded (is it like a NHL 21 simulation?)

The ratings on the site might be out of date... this thread features a link to the most recent ones for the upcoming season.

The league is run through a simulator called STHS. Pretty standard sim league setup across the board. Ratings are largely based on real life, this season they're based on a blend of the previous two seasons because of the weird sample sizes but they're typically a reflection of the most recent NHL/AHL season.

I've observed the league from afar for a while and it intrigues me a lot. I know I certainly would have the time to commit to taking it seriously.

I am sure there's others poking around here who deserve consideration first for spots and/or a waiting list. Maybe I will toss my hat in the ring with this post for down the road in case spots open up again and you'd like to consider me.

Is STHS the Simon's simulator or something else?
