Ultraviolet and Canada

How does everybody play their Ultraviolet digital copies on their TVs?

AppleTV and UV do not play nice. The only current way is to install flixster or other app on your iPhone/iPad and then output the movie to the ATV.

So I tried setting my Sony Blu-Ray player to stream it but the advertised apps only work in the US. I have a neutered flixster app on the blu-ray player that only plays trailers and cannot access my account.

I'm hoping that it is something simple and I am just over complicating things.

I don't think it's just you - a lot of Ultraviolet stuff only seems to work in the US. I bought a TV series DVD that came with an Ultraviolet digital copy (in a Canadian store) that I planned on watching on my iPad while traveling; the only way I could access the video was by downloading everything while I was in the US. I tried contacting their customer service, since the digital copy was a big factor in my purchase, and basically got an answer along the lines of "if you live in Canada you're out of luck."

It's an alternate Digital Copy for Movies and TV Shows.

Previously, all of the digital copies could be redeemed in ITunes.

UV (ultraviolet) was started up a couple of years ago as an alternative. However you cannot redeem UV in Itunes. You can redeem them in select apps.

I thought the movie was fairly good, but there was a girl in tight fitting closes who was beating the crap out of bad people, so that means I probably didn't pay attention to any glaring plot holes.

I had no problems viewing it in a theater in Calgary.
