Disney Infinity - New competitor to Skylanders

They are a wee bit over priced in my opinion but I don't think it will over take Skylanders. Kids where i work wanted a few of them but most still gravitated to the Skylanders.

I picked this up and once of the starter pack characters (sulley - Monsters Inc.) won't recognize on the portal. Anyone else having issues?

So what is the verdict on this game? My son keeps inventing schemes by which he can raise money in order to buy DI. Currently, he is offering to sell me his tablet for $75, I'm thinking of taking him up on it...

Oh, and by the way, if any of you bought this game for your kids and they go to my son's school and have been bragging about DI... thanks a real lot.

Two years ago he became a social outcast at school because he didn't know anything about Skylanders, Minecraft, or Mantracker. I bought him Disney Infinity today and told him to make fun of the kids at school who are still playing Skylanders.
