Meh...The Flames hit some posts and pucks rolled off sticks on open nets. Dube's stick broke while shooting at an open net. Meanwhile, that second SJS's goal was pure luck, as the puck bounced awkwardly off other players before finding its way to the net.

This was a game we can honestly blame on bounces. I'm more concerned with how the team responds in the next game, than the negative results. It's a shame though, as this was a chance to gain a point or two on the Oilers, who also lost in regulation (but they deserved to lose).

I've been wondering the same thing, I think I saw his best shift last night so far, won't be surprised if he gets waived if that's possible.

If you aren't superstitious, are you even trying as a fan?

Flames played well and a home town goalie stole the game. Bring on the road trip!

I went to bed after the second period and listened on the Radio. This was a classic Calgary Flames performance.

- Pepper the goalie with tons of shots. Easy shots right into the crest or unobstructed long shots from the blue line.
- Get multiple PP and have grade A chances (Posts/barely missed deflections) but fail to score to secure the go-ahead goal.

- Local boy in net for the opposing team.

- End of a home stand.
-Playing a on paper "weaker" opposition (see Ottawa last year).
- A goal that is seen typically as "weak/cheap" either being the first goal or the tying goal...I never seen it but by all accounts the go ahead goal was a deflection off a players body.

Ive been watching this team a long time and outside the one Bob Hartley year, When I get this feeling I always turn it off. Maybe if I keep it on we will come back and win one day?

Anyways, the Flames have been playing great early in this season and it is just one game. Hate losing to Divisional opponents though and hope the guys can bounce back in a big way next time they play the sharks. All of a sudden even with the great start the Division is tight.

^ I mean, the Flames played really well. Sometimes the puck just doesn't go in. It happens. To EVERY team, not just the Flames.

They are playing really good hockey. Pack up the bags and head to the next game.
