Default Time frame to get a 2nd IP address

Quick Question

How long should it take Bell to get a 2nd IP address into a business with existing Bell service?

I was told by one person 1-2 days, and another person, 2 to 3 weeks. Anyone have an idea?

Ha ha ha

Is this not just a click of a few buttons on the IT provider end though?

The delay is becoming an issue and before i escalate things i would like to get a better idea of how long it takes.

If it is static, I could see it taking a while longer. If not, it should be pretty near instant.

It might take a few business days. They need to find an available subnet and then assign it to you. Why it takes so long? I am not sure.

It should only take a few days, and that is only because of the time it takes to channel the request through the proper channels for the changes to your account to be changed. Once it reaches their IT team it only takes a few minutes to setup... unless they are busy solving an outage or just understaffed and they have a large queue of tasks ahead of your request.

It depends where that IP is located, if it has to be shipped from China or India it can take a while to get here.
