Default Playing music through Bluetooth in a car

So I'm having a hard time finding information on this. Hopefully someone can help clear up or provide some information.

My car has several different stereo functions: XM/Sirius, AM/FM, CD and Bluetooth.

When I want to listen to music on my phone, or tablet, I just put the stereo into Bluetooth mode and press play on my Google music app. Works great. Except that I can't see the artists names or track into on the display, in my car.

I thought with the new improvement to Bluetooth to Android 4.3, that the information would be displayed on my car display.

So is this an issue with the player (app), the phone/tablet or the car's display/bluetooth ability?

Any suggestions? It's not a big deal, but I heard that people were now getting the information displayed on their car's stereo display with the new bluetooth upgrade in Android 4.3.

Just to clarify, I'm using a Nexus 4 with Android 4.3. Same with my first generation Nexus 7.

Called Hyundai today and they said I need to upgrade the software in my stereo.

Will be done next week, for free!

My last three cars have had that feature but I never use it due to the awful sound quality of bluetooth audio.

I find it pretty good. Definitely acceptable enough for the benefits of having Spotify/Pandora available. I'd rate it pretty highly in my ranking out of 10 of various car music sources from worst to best:

AM Radio
Ipod via fm transmitter
Built in Sirius XM receiver
Ipod via tape deck adapter
FM radio
ipod/smartphone via aux input
smartphone via bluetooth
ipod via ipod adapter
Built in SD card reader
CD player

yea, much easier than having a bunch cds always on hand, all my music is on my phone so it just plays the music when I get in the car. the quality isn't the same as cd but I don't really notice anyways
