Best player not in the NHL? Is it worth a shot?

Looks like he can skate. Not much out there in the youtube universe on him. A scrappy wrap around goal and a break away he was stopped on. Nice toe drag though. Big build, reminds me tad of Perry.
I feel the Flames focus lies elsewhere.

Did Flames make an offer?
I'm thinking they didn't.

He has really had a strange career path. Comes to North America to play in the CHL, only to leave after 8 games to play in the USHL? Then he chooses to go back to Europe.
Looking at his numbers (and nothing else), nothing jumps out at me. His goal totals are low, his assist totals are low, his PIMs are low. I just don't see what would be special about him.

Where did the 190lbs come from? 3 different places show him between 168-174lbs. At 6'2 he's Jankowski skinny!
Last thing this team needs is a project LW anyway.

If the Flames didn't have a logjam at LW, this might be worth a shot. Some will go Brunnstrom and some will go Zuccarello. If prospect holes need filling then why not give it a try for a year or two? Minimal risk, decent upside.

He must have some potential if that many teams are making offers. The Flames already signed a European player though. I think Wolf only had 5 teams after him, does this mean he was the No. 2 hot shot free agent?

LW who scored 2G and 0A at the World Championships in 10GP.
I'd rather we try our little LW who scored 2G and 8A at the World Championships in 8GP.

Looks like the ideal replacement for Jokinen.
But really though: it says he's 6’0", not 6'2". He has 0.36 PPG in the KHL. Does that really translate well?
I would probably be more keen to get Cervenka back... But I'm not really that keen on doing that, so no thanks.

His agent Allan Walsh has been trying to pump his tires up for the last few months:

I found Cervenka to be more enticing than this guy. This guy's stats aren't anything to write home about. Along with his very obtuse development path.
Cervenka showed at least he could score at the NHL level. It's too bad he had such a hole in his 2-way game and floated in the neutral zone for most the season.

It's always worth a shot. Absolutely zero risk to signing a 21 year old European unrestricted free agent with NHL potential.

The kid is still just 21.
He may not pan out, but he's not a 26 year old Cervenka coming over, or a 25 year old Brunnstrom. If he'd be willing to spend time in the AHL if it was needed I see no reason not to sign him.
Could end up being a free asset......and if not, he goes scurrying back to Europe with his tail between his legs like Cervenka did, and C'est la vie.
