I think the deal is even worse because of the fact Grant had 3 stud young goalies on the block with Allen, Gibson and Vasilevskiy. Who I am guessing he would have taken a 1st for any of them, if not it being really close to a deal.

Not saying it is a good deal but this isn't true. I maybe would have done a 1st for Allen, but the deal I got from Philly is better than that. I would not have dealt Gibson of Vasilevsky for just a first. There might have something there if more was added, but not a 1st alone. For the latter two a significant second piece would have been required.
Just to clarify that.

which is why I said " if not it being really close to a deal". If the 1st is the main piece, adders would be pretty easy to get a deal done.

He had a really good season at the AHL level. Yes he is an Oiler prospect, but he is a legit prospect.
played 53 games
GAA 2.56
PCT .918
Wait a couple of years and compare Laurent Brossoit and 1st round selection...
I would bet that Laurent will be the player who makes NHL while the other one is 50/50 at best.
