Yeah, another loss in the final to Forge would have taken a piece of my soul. All is well with the world now, haha.

Seriously though, I think we were unlucky last year to not beat them. I though we were the better team through 90 minutes (at least definitely in the 2nd half) and then took the lead in extra time. Anyway, that's all history now because not only did the we win the final this year, we were clearly better than Forge.

Happy for Mauro. When he hung up the boots it felt like he was going to skyrocket in the coaching ranks.

During the first leg of the 2019 finals he came to the Foot Soldiers watch party and chatted with us for a while. He bought one of our toques and refused to take it for free. Super nice guy.
