It's not about comparing to a normal job, it's about comparing it to the teams you are playing against.
And there are studies and science that show things like coast to coast travel, 3 games in 4 nights, back to backs, tired vs rested, etc impact a teams performance and expected points outcomes.
Flames have had a tough schedule to start the year, based on their schedule the remainder should be easier.

I mean of course the travel makes a difference, but it's fun to #### with Dino once in a while lol.

Flying in a comfy plane doesn't change how your body feels day to day. The time difference is what throws off athletes with travel. Coming back from the east, adjusting the body to MST for two days, play one game, fly to the pacific time zone and play again.

They're not playing those games against people with ‘real jobs’. Moreover, very few people with ‘real jobs’ have to work at absolute maximum physical capacity three days out of four with a transcontinental flight on the fourth day.
Silly comparison is silly.

I don’t know, man. Do you see the Flames perform differently between their usual 7 start and the Saturday 8 start?
If they’re that finely tune / sensitive, then arguably you would

The late flight and travel means more than the time change in that scenario though.
Game finished after 9PM on Sunday. Team was probably in the air around 11:00MT at the earliest if I had to guess, arrived in Vancouver around 11:15PM, maybe you're settled into your hotel by 12:30 PT.
Now considering they had spent the prior week in the ET zone and only one day in Calgary that probably felt considerably later than 12:30 PT would normally feel, since it would have been 3:30ET.
In the end it was a rough travel sequence for the Flames, I'm not sure there's really any debate to that.

You realize the games themselves are just a fraction of the job right?

How is this even an argument? Travelling is tiring. More travelling is more tiring. Details at 11!
And the issue isn't how tired they are in the absolute (yes they are 20-something athletes), it's a question of their condition, relative to the opponent.
A simple back to back is no big deal. But travelling for multiple days, through multiple time-zones will have an effect. And when you're trying to perform at your peak, and your opponent hasn't been subjected to similar challenges (recently), of course it will be a material factor.

This one is hilarious tho.
You think nurses, and people working in factories are just lounging around in catered planes? Being paid millions to put in max effort for 10 minutes a day, while getting 2-3 minutes of rest in between.

You apparently think hockey players are ‘lounging around in catered planes’ all the time between games. As if there were no practices, no video work, no pre-game skates, no gym work, etc., etc., etc.
If you find that hilarious, you should probably put down the bong.
