Mullen, easily.

Shout-out to Randy Holt though. Few Flames as crazy nutso as he.

I don't remember his time in Calgary, but remember him in Pittsburgh.

He is a hall of fame player that had his best statistical season with the Flames and four very productive seasons.

It has to be Mullen here.

Probably, but Chouinard and Brodie should get some love.

Brodie is #9 all-time for games played in Calgary. Chouinard played 7 full season between Atlanta and Calgary, and was maybe the best playmaker we ever had. Lanny got 66 goals with Guy's help.

If we include franchise time in Atlanta, I'm voting for Guy. [edit - I see he was more of a 16]

Joe Mullen has 2 of the top 3 playoff goal scoring finishes in franchise history.

His 16 goals in 21 games in '89 is the franchise record.

It's great that TJ has played a lot of games for the Flames, and I like him, but if we're voting on the best player to wear that jersey they're not even really close. Mullen was a massive part of the best team in franchise history.

That was real easy I’m 43 and feel privileged to have watched Joe Mullen!

Chouinard had three years in Calgary ... all productive. Two in #16, and one in #7

To this day I don't ever remember a more impactful player joining the Flames via trade, than Mullen.

Instant boost to the team, noticeable.

Kiprusoff gets a nod to some degree, but it wasn't as obvious.
Jokinen had that great start in his first stint.

After Mullen, I had such high hopes for Tim Sweeney. Another small, skilled American-born winger wearing #7. Even went to the same school (Boston College). What could go wrong?

Oh yeah, he wasn’t any good. Mullen went on to win two more Cups with Pittsburgh.

Damn, now I’m starting to think him playing center for McDonald was indeed his #7 season, and it was the one I would have voted for.

Fair enough. Mullen is likely the right answer, but when its close I am going to go with the player that I know more about. With these debates, there is a generational element.

Exactly. I'm probably not going to vote for anyone I didn't see play unless their name is Lanny.

TJ Brodie will win 66 uncontested. And Adam Pardy gets another chance at 55. I hope the voting goes all the way to "garbage numbers". That's where it would get interesting. Maybe someone could win two numbers.

An interesting question would be how many players have a shot at winning two different numbers.

David Jones will take 54 pretty easily but he has no shot at 19.

Could Conroy win both 22 and 24? Could Cammalleri take both 13 and 93? Or does Sam Bennett take 93 and also win 63?

Rob Ramage wins #55.

so I think TJ Brodie is under-rated by many and has an excellent Flames resume

but this one to me is easy Mullen. I'm going to echo my friend Bingo above here a little bit

I don't think you can argue that the most successful run in Flames history was from mid calendar 1986 through to 1990

in other words- the Joe Mullen years

In fact you could argue that the best team in the NHL (at least regular season success) in that stretch was the Calgary Flames . if not they are 2nd (Oil) and then the Habs (wow- go Canada)

and over that time the Flames star player was Joe Mullen

I remember my dad picking me up from the LRT post Flames game the night they acquired Mullen and he was telling me what we gave up...'that's it??'...."you're sure??"....hahahahahahaha

That looks like an old highlight video. I don't think a grainy highlight video is going to make me vote for someone I've never seen play over someone I've seen play hundreds of times over the last decade.
