It is a shame that the 18th hole is sliding down the cliff. I wonder if they own the land up by the driving range and maybe they can build a new 18th hole up there.

Did anyone see this?

Seems like fake news. If I have a 30 footer for 59, nobody is videoing it.

Why wouldn’t you film that?

Didn't they already rebuild 18 once?

Come on dude. It's so obviously fake. He's halfway into the pond and the ball is 6 feet from the hole.

I’m not denying that. But if I’m putting for a 59 from 100 feet your damn well sure I’m getting someone to film it! Haha.

Lol, have a look again. He’s doing the long putt sideways look. Then when it hits the stick, it’s pure joy and sprint into the pond!

Unbelievable achievement. I’ve played with guys that have shot 29 a couple times on 9, but to keep it together for a full 18 is incredible.

He works as a golf pro in Burnaby so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt it's real.
If it was just some random kid, I'd be more inclined to think fake.

I don't know. I only get out there a couple times a year because it is a long drive for me. I do enjoy the course though.

Good to see some local courses taking full advantage of the Covid pre-payment to screw people for a few dollars. Had a time booked for McKenzie Meadows late this afternoon, and phoned to cancel because even the PGA Tour guys would have gone home by now, and was told no refund, no rain check.

That’s fine, I’ll spend my future dollars elsewhere, and encourage everyone else to do the same. As a consumer, that’s my recourse.

I haven’t booked there this year because of their insane no refunds policy.

I wish I could say it was penny wise and pound foolish, but every course in town is always jammed, so there’s no impact on them.

I’ll just play Speargrass more. It’s such a great track, and the staff are amazing. They at least pretend to care about their customers.

That's brutal. I was unlikely to ever play McKenzie Meadows anyway but hearing that kind of stuff just turns me off completely.

I bought Cobra Speedzone one lengths and it has improved my game a ton!

I've left my driver and 3 wood in my car. I've shaved off ~10 strokes a round from last years average from the blues. I just finished with a 94 at Heatherglen, which included 3 blowup holes (8, 8, 8). Sunk 2 birdies in the first 6 holes, went into hole 9 with a 34 before those double pars started happening.

I think the error shots have been reduced a lot. If I could improve my chipping and putting, it will be another jump.

Are you using a 5 wood, or no woods at all?
What's your longest iron and distance you hit with that?

Anyone have a suggestion for a lesson or 2?

I honestly can’t hit any irons anymore. Totally lost it and all confidence. Just constant shank after shank.

  • $30 tripod from Amazon
  • Download the free version of V1
  • Instagram accounts for JakeHuttGolf, KerrodGrayGolf, JJGolfPutting, Athletic_Motion_Golf, chrisryangolf, Mikeburygolf, adaviesgolf, and Mikebendergolf

Lots of guys on skillest as well, which I think is a great medium if you want to get a few instant tips after sending a couple videos of your swing in.

Also the orange whip is great!

Played Serenity today. It was warm, sunny with just a slight 90km wind...

Not sure I've ever had so much fun teeing off at 45 degree angle to the pin and then landing on the green. I don't know how but only lost one ball and shot an 86.
