Has been on repeat since release. Great sound these guys have. I haven't tried their previous releases yet, but they hit the nail right on the head with the combination of melodies, riffage, and mood on this album.
Oh they're metal. And amazing IMO. I LOVE their album Deep Blue. Must have album. This track seems like their pop hook for the new album.
I found out that Parkway Drive is playing at Marquee on Nov 4th. Tickets are $25 (plus a service fee) and available now. I bought mine as soon as I heard about it.

Well, Motorhead does have an album called "Orgasmatron"...

If Lemmy‘s health problems ever end up forcing Motörhead off the road, the band members will at least be able to look forward to the royalties from their new, officially endorsed line of sex toys.
Promising “the loudest buzz in the world,” the group worked with Lovehoney (“the sexual happiness people”) to develop “four bullet and classic torpedo-shaped vibrators, all decorated with the band’s iconic logo and branding,” designed to “deliver the power and pleasure fans would expect from the ‘loudest band on Earth.’”

Thanks to this post I now know they'll be in my neck of the woods on NOV. 4th.
I missed out on Dark Tranquillity and Insomnium earlier this summer, I am going to try and not miss these guys.
And another new song/video from their new album:
Still pretty pop heavy but I'll definitely still get their new record. They always have a penchant for coming in soft and destroying your brain through an album.

Has anybody been spinning Book of Souls? Thoughts? I'm enjoying much of it so far.
I received the CD yesterday and have listened to it a few times. It's a juggernaut of an album coming in at 92 minutes, but it is well-paced. At this stage of their career, Maiden could have played it safe, but the sheer scope and the scale of effort that went into this record shows that Maiden weren't going to rest on their laurels.
The closer, Empire of the Clouds - coming in at 18 minutes! - is interesting, but I prefer the short songs like The Speed of Light and Death or Glory.
Also of note is Tears of a Clown - a tribute to Robin Williams.

picked it up a few days back and have given it a few listens. There's a lot to digest, but I'm definitely digging it. If Eternity Should Fail, The Man of Sorrows and Empire of the Clouds are my faves so far.

Fantastic IMHO. Man of Sorrows is likely the weakest track for me and they certainly indulge in many places but I think it can be put right beside the classics on the shelf. Dickinson while straining to reach to upper end some is singing with power throughout the entire album which given he was undergoing cancer treatment is quite something. Empire of the Clouds was a definite departure being based around Dickinson on the piano and certainly long but after several listens it has likely become my favourite along with Red and Black. The two longest songs on the album I think.....my Dream Theater training has prepared me well.
Nice to see the band 40 years into it decide to stretch a bit while remaining distinctly Maiden.
2016 tour (March for US and Canada) on tap. Ed Force One is now a 747-400 and of course Dickinson is working towards getting his certification to captain it. Can't wait for the tour.
Sabbath...yes this sounds like it is the final tour. Iommi is saying he just can't do tours anymore with his health and age. Sucks that Ward won't be along for the ride. Not sure if they are doing another album or not. Nothing seems definitive at this point.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the new Slayer album that came out last week. Yeah there's nothing really groundbreaking on there, but I'm enjoying it more than 'World Painted Blood' or 'Christ Illusion'
Very NSFW video for the title track, Repentless. Plus some epic grey beard from Tom Araya.
NSFW!
