Top 4 for me are a cut above:
Arrested Development (watched all three seasons multiple times)
Seinfeld (the characters offer a perfect mix and the show didn't get bogged down in storylines)
Community (first two seasons among my favorites ever, third was uneven... Jeff Winger is great)
Louie (not only funny, but extremely interesting and occasionally profound)
After that there are shows that I like watching but don't adore as much:
Curb Your Enthusiasm (clever show and Larry David is hilarious)
South Park (go long periods without even thinking of it, then watch it again and it's brilliant)
Friends (not a popular pick here, but Chandler is one of my all-time favorite characters)
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (almost forgot this one... I don't think I've ever seen an unfunny episode)
Family Guy (unlike many, I don't mind the non-sequitur jokes and enjoy the nihilism)
The Simpsons (haven't watched it for a long time but I truly loved it growing up)
HM: Frasier, Workaholics, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, Better Off Ted, Harvey Birdman
