Cool. Hope he crushes it and pushes for a spot with the Flames in training camp

I'm guessing Visp will be a slight upgrade over the city of Stockton.

Good for him. When the league resumes, he will be in game-shape and more ready than the guys ahead of him. It should give him the best opportunity possible to crack the roster when the NHL resumes.

Maybe a stupid question, but why isn't kylington playing in Europe yet?

It could be because he doesn't have a contract with the Flames yet. If he gets injured he might not get one at all. Another reason could be that he is considered a regular NHLer by the club. You don't see anyone from the NHL roster playing in Europe(Valimaki is the exception because he missed all of last season).

Yup.

If Kylington went, it wouldn't be on a loan. He would have to sign a contract and hope he can get an NHL release cause.

Plus, there is a bigger incentive for teams to get loaned players than signing players right now, since teams that loan players typically cover at least a portion of their salary.

EHC Visp's website says Gawdin has been recalled. Looks like he played 1 game with no points.

https://www.ehc-visp.ch/de/news/glen...m-ehc-visp-421

The translation says he has been recalled because of the NHL's potential start in January.
