I think he'll be fine. Tinordi needs to be gone.
I thought Tinordi might make the NHL squad at the start of the camp. Quite a drop off for a high draft pick who has played over 200 NHL games.

Draft capital seems to keep these guys around far longer than they deserve.

By almost every possession stat Tinordi has been on of the worst defensemen in the NHL in every season he has played. Mind boggling how he keeps getting contracts.

For those watching the Wranglers, how has Stromgren looked?

Finished last season so strong, would suck if he back peddled again.

I don't get why they seem set on playing Poirier on his off side going back to pre-season.

He looked fine in pre-season playing his LH side, then absolutely horrible in the game he was asked to play his RH side.

Some guys can do it...Poirier doesn't seem like one of those guys.

In the limited viewings I thought he is the same. It's only been a couple games, hes generating chances, his line mates aren't as good, but the puck just isn't bouncing in.

He's also one of the youngest forwards on the team, so lots of room to grow his game this year.

Again, limited viewing on my part so take it with a grain of salt.

Cooley lapping the field in minutes played and still rocking a .947 save%.

What a beaut.

Nikolaev with an assist last night is up to 0.5 PPG from 0.2 PPG last year. He still gonna make it.

And that assist came on my boy Parker Bell's first pro goal, which tied the game!

That was certainly an interesting move by Poirier on his OT goal. I don't know how a goalie would react to a player coming straight up the ice while doing a jig but I'm no pro hockey player and it worked!

Big Vault with his second win in as many games. Wranglers defeat Colorado Eagles 3-2.

I was at the Wranglers game tonight, fun game with a solid comeback by the guys.

Hunt-Kerins-Pelletier were a very good line and scored the massive tying goal on a tic-tac-toe passing play. Pelletier's passing in particular was perfect on that play. In fact, I thought Pelletier was the best player on the ice. Played with a ton of speed and confidence, tenacious on pucks and he has very slick hands.

Morton, Duehr, Hunt, and Kerins were good up front as well. I didn't love Bishop's game but he scored the game winner by battling for a rebound and also crushed a guy with a clean hit so he made an impact.

On the back end I was most impressed with Kuznetsov. Big, strong, skates well, defended really well, scored a goal and was making smart passes throughout.

Brzustewicz was good too although he got caught defensively a few times. This is going to be a big development year for him in that aspect and it seems like he's already made a lot of progress.

Solovyov has a solid game and Poirier was most good as well.

Ignatjew was really good. After giving up two he really shut the door and gave his team a great chance to battle back.

Stromgren was a bit disappointing but he got clipped with a hard shot and had to leave the ice and then he got cheapshotted so I think it was just a painful and rough outing for him.

Wranglers games are always fun. Decent hockey and great seats. It’s awesome being able to watch individual prospects as they work toward becoming full-time NHLers.

And it’s always cool seeing old heroes return.

What about Grushnikov, was he noticeable as a defensive presence or with moving the puck up the ice efficiently?

I didn't notice him as much, which is probably a good sign. He's not demolishing guys like he was when he was trying to get noticed in training camp and he's pretty conservative with his puck touches.

2-1 final for the Wranglers over the Eagles this afternoon.

Frk (Kerins!, Pelletier).
Bishop (Duehr, Tinordi).

Coolio with the win.

I was there too. I was really impressed with Coronato. He didn't get any points, but his skill was impressive,
