I mean, Sabalenka can't really hit a better return then she did, deep and hard right at Maddy's feet and probably thought she was going to get an easy ball to deal with if not drawing an error from Keys.

Super happy for Keys, she seemed to always be around near the end but was never able to make it past the finish line. This was a major upset I feel bad for Sabalenka, she was in tears at the end, but I feel like she will win a dozen more majors before her career is over.

G’day mate, Happy Zverev Elimination Day!
Honestly that was Sinner’s B game. Great defence and clutch serving when he needed it, but not as much on the baseline offense as he’s capable of. EE said it best, his current form is Big 3 level.
Grazie mille Carota!

Just keep piling on the mental scar tissue for the domestic abuser while I soak up the schadenfreude. It looked like Zverev thought he could stay 8-10 feet behind the baseline and wait for an error from Carrot. Let's look at the winners to unforced errors tally:
Sinner: 32 winners, 27 unforced errors
Zverev: 25 winners, 45 unforced errrors

From A Thread of Order (Hugh Clarke):
When you watch Zverev closely you realise how forehand averse he is in all facets of the game. Even on second serve returns, he often will opt to run around his forehand and hit a backhand; he doesn’t see his forehand as a weapon.

More from Hugh:
Look how Zverev runs around his forehand to take the backhand from the middle.

Imagine saying that there have been no accusations for nine months now is some kind of accomplishment or something to be proud of?
Carayol: “Before your speech someone shouted out, ‘Australia believes Olya and Brenda.’ What is your reaction to that? What is your response to people who believe the domestic violence accusations against you?”
Zverev: “I believe there are no more accusations. There haven't been for, what, nine months now? Good for her. I think she was the only one in the stadium who believed anything in that moment. If that's the case, good for her. I think I've done everything I can, and I'm not about to open that subject again.”

Canada's in really tough now. Diallo and Galarneau in singles and Pospisil/Harper in doubles?

Either Galarneau or Draxl for the 2nd singles spot. Really counting on Diallo to deliver in singles.

Felix advances in Montpellier just now over Arthur Cazaux 6-4 7-6(5). Felix was down 5-2 in the second set tie-break and reeled off five straight points playing some exquisite tennis. Cazaux is a very fine player and it's just a case of him having more belief in himself, he has all the tools.
Edit: Felix is next in action on Friday as he faces Yunchaokete Bu in the quarter-finals.

8 years ago today we had the iconic Federer vs. Nadal AO final....they don't play tennis like that anymore. I know we assume athletes are getting bigger stronger and faster than previous generations but I doubt we ever see a player the caliber of Federer or Nadal again, let alone at the same time.

I can't remember who made this comment (it might have been Gill Gross) but the only weakness in Sinner's game currently might be endurance. His record in matches that go five sets at majors is not that great, but then nobody is at the level to push Jannik to five sets. Maybe we will see Jannik have to go the distance at Roland-Garros. It makes you appreciate how good the guys below were to have this kind of rally deep in set 5.

Sounds like Novak Djokovic could be on the shelf for a couple of months as the hamstring tear he suffered at the Aussie Open is quite serious. He will likely miss the Sunshine Double.

Felix is into the semi-finals after a 6-3 6-4 win over Yunchaokete Bu. FAA played another good match today, maybe not quite as sharp as he was against Cazaux but also was not broken today which is a good sign going forward.
