Yeah, I can't put any Flames on merely on the basis they didn't play well. For me it's mainly about work ethic (Bourque), being dirty (Marchment), or just a nasty personality (Smith).

Of course, I could make a list of Flames who subsequently were just no good:

Smith, Russell, Dowd, Unger, Jalonen, Neal and (I suppose) Brossoit.

And players who became much better: Lucic, Talbot, Staios, Glencross, Smid, Steve Smith

I don't know if Iginla would be in my top 5. Maybe top 10. First half of his career he was top 5 for me but the last half of his career not so much as he became a hard to coach, one dimensional player focussed on scoring only.
