Pretty much everything in the last 7 or so years. The handful of movies I've seen in that time all sucked.
Except Dunkirk, that one was pretty awesome.
Cinema Paradiso is my #3 all time favorite film after Dr. Strangelove and Seven Samurai. Watch it/them.
Into the Wild was garbage. I cannot believe that made the list.
For anyone with a Criterion Channel subscription Cinema Paradiso just got added (Seven Samurai is on there as well). It should be mandatory viewing for any movie lover.

I finally got a change to watch "The Hustler" starring Jackie Gleason and Paul Newman. Small time pool player named Fast Eddie takes on legendary Minnesota Fats.

If you like WWII films, you might try Greyhound with Tom Hanks. Destroyer captain during battle of the Atlantic. Lots of good older ones, but that one sticks out for me in the last 7 years.
Never interested me.
I was 15 at the time and that year i was more interested in GoodFellas, total Recall, Misery, Dances with Wolves, Flatliners, Jacob's Ladder. Awakenings, Hunt for Red October. Great year.
Home Alone never was something that I had any desire to watch.
I recently downloaded a megapack of the Top IMDB rated movies I'd never seen to catch up on some classics or international gems I would have never seen otherwise.
M (1931, Germany)
Bicycle Thieves (1948, Italy)
Rashomon (1950, Japan)
Ben-Hur (1959)
Judgment at Nuremberg (1961)
8½ (1963, Italy)
Persona (1966, Sweden)
Cool Hand Luke (1967)
Viy (1967, Russia)
The Godfather (1972)
The Godfather: Part II (1974)
The Deer Hunter (1978)
Add 'In the Heat of the Night' to that list, must watch and Canadian directed, some of the 60's best actors at the height of their power and sadly just as relevant today as it was in 1967
